The incompetence just oozes from these clowns.
"formation of a second state-owned power utility" the bolded bit is what is destroying this country. Anything they touch turns to ****.

This doesn't make sense. Which nation did we use as a example now? Probably China.

Something tells me that this is a move to scratch Eskom's debt, how they will be going about it... troubling.

Of course we used China as an example, because its such a good structural match to us.

Second one will not work either... just look at your new plants after 1994. Forget it ANC. Everything you touch turns to s**t. And, oh, washing your hands won't work either.

Funny that, considering China also has load shedding.

30 September 2021

The state-run Global Times newspaper said there had been outages in four provinces - Guangdong in the south and Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning in the north east. There are also reports of power cuts in other parts of the country.

Companies in major manufacturing areas have been called on to reduce energy usage during periods of peak demand or limit the number of days that they operate.
Energy-intensive industries such as steel-making, aluminium smelting, cement manufacturing and fertiliser production are among the businesses hardest hit by the outages.

Almost as if central planned economies have problems that are very difficult to solve.

Lol,

“Look at China. It has a number of state-owned power providers who compete among themselves ensuring that the price of electricity is greatly reduced.”

interesting read on it,

now I do have questions, but I can't see our state create an entity to compete with an identical state entity because that would mean that the cadres, and more cadres, would also need to compete. I can only predict industrial espionage and sabotage to rise beyond any control.

I am quite sure that utility supplies wholly support this idea. I am also still sure that either Eskom or, now, a new entity might be a BIS initiative.

These aren’t solutions, it is trough streams.

Where are all the ANC apologists on this forum? We would love to laugh at your stupid comments as well.
