I propose they rename OR Thambo International to Eugene Terblanche International.
It's only fair.
The ANCYL isn't content with just renaming the main road "Andrew Zondo Road". Now they want to rename Amanzimtoti to "Zondo" after the terrorist that planted a bomb and killed 5 people in a Toti shopping centre in 1985.WTF is wrong with these people!
It is so clear to me where this country is headed, these racist idiots don't WANT reconciliation. If you're planning on staying in this country, expect more of this and much worse. I'm not particularly religious, but God help the people that can't or won't leave this country. -rant over-

I must admit, a while ago I did not even know or care to know that the ANCYL existed. Now everybody in this country knows about them and follow what they are doing.
Coming up with stupid ideas got these idiots noticed. Now they are getting the attention they wanted. They will simply keep pushing out stupid ideas until people learn to ignore them.
I used to live in 'Toti. i walked past the scene just hours after it happened. There were big pools of blood and shards of glass everywhere. Anyone who wants to name anything after someone who caused such destruction and pain to human lives deserves to be blown up themselves...
I'm not sure if this is supposed to be a parody post, but I'll bite anyway. I was trying to point out the hypocrisy in this thread (and the previous one). If you are really serious about reconciliation, you surely cannot criticise the ANC for wanting to name places/streets/schools after people who they consider important when the previous government did exactly the same thing. Verwoerd & co. caused incredible suffering for a huge number of people in this country. This is a fact. Despite this there are still many institutions that carry the names of apartheid figures. If you are not just blatantly racist, I would like to see some outrage regarding this as well, and not just knee-jerk reactions when things don't go your way.
And no, I don't support the ANC "overlord" or their "minions" at all. (BTW: Politics is not an RPG.) The stupidity on display in this thread just p issed me off.
Edit:
You're an idiot.
'Toti was blown up in 1985, Mandela was transferred to Pollsmoor in 1989, released from jail in 2001.
Do you think that would have happened were it not of the likes of Zondo?
Why do you call them/us racist idiots? Aren't we allowed to remember our freedom fighters? He was not a terrorist, but a freedom fighter, he did what a lot of black South African could not do, fight for their freedom, by putting a lot of pressure on the then government.
It all depends on your personal take on issues like these. Do/did we complain about all the colonial names you have used to name the whole country? Were we given a chance/say when names were chosen to decorate this country?
So shut up!!!!
From what I understand, you're claiming that because the old government did it, the new government can do it too? Two wrongs make a right?
This is not about two wrongs, but about addressing the wrongs done by the previous regime. Were we given a chance, when this South African streets, towns and buildings were named? No we were not worthy of that honour.
So relax, let us claim this country in its entirety.

Yeah, or maybe we should just start killing your family![]()

The naming of Amanzimtoti as 'sweetwaters' is generally attributed to Shaka, the famous King of the Zulus. During one of his campaigns, he and his army stopped to rest here and he was brought a calabash filled with water from the local river. He sipped the water and said “Kanti Amanz'amtoti' meaning ' the water is sweet'
What about all those black people who were killed during the apartheid regime reign?![]()
