If you are really serious about reconciliation, you surely cannot criticise the ANC for wanting to name places/streets/schools after people who they consider important when the previous government did exactly the same thing. Verwoerd & co. caused incredible suffering for a huge number of people in this country. This is a fact. Despite this there are still many institutions that carry the names of apartheid figures.

If you are serious about reconciliation you will not rename after woman and child killers (especially where they killed the innocents), full stop. As pointed out already the places, schools, etc. that bears apartheid figure names was given those names when it was build. Thus if you want to honor the child killer Zondo build a school and call it the ‘Zondo school for cowards and child killers’.
