So its the wife's b-day on the 20th and our anniversary just after that. I've decided to combine the two and do something special for her by booking us a weekend away at at spa/hotel.

We'll be arriving the friday night, have the spa booked for the entire saturday and the returning home on the sunday. I've organised with the place to have flowers, champaigne and candles in the room on arrival and I've basically sorted out her her b-day present, just need to go an buy it.

What am I missing? Does anyone have any suggestions on what else I should be thinking of/adding?

If there are restaurants in the hotel you might want to book a table there if you're not going to do the room-service thing all weekend. And get the chef to prepare something special just for her.

What are you going to do while she's at the spa?

Well I've booked a couples spa package so we'll both be involved in this, apparently its in a seperate secluded section of the spa and takes all day, 9:00 to 17:00. Lunch and mini-bar are included as well as our own splash pool and jet bath...

I've booked for dinner at two of the restaurants at the hotel and asked that they do something special, still need to confirm the details.

Sounds like fun. Don't forget to take bubblebath and your rubber ducky!

Check this for a anniversary night idea. It's fine to watch at work.

Well we'll both still be working on the friday or her b-day so I had to get something close to Jo'burg so that we could leave after work and still get away. Decided on Spa in the County in Muldersdrift.

If the question is, where did my wife get me, then the answer is that my baby sister was dating her baby brother yonks ago and we sort of got together that way.

If the question is, what did my wife get me, then the answer is that if she got me anything she'll be getting a spanking while we are away. Last year we agreed that we would be getting something together for the house as an anniversary present and no individual gifts. She ended up getting me something and I felt like an ass for getting her nothing. So she is under strict instructions not to get me anything this year and she doesn't know about what I'm planning.

I need to spoil her a bit, we haven't had much time together of late due to our jobs so I think an opportunity like this should be ideal.

Just my checklist so far:
1. Hotel, with flowers etc. booked
2. Spa, with small gift booked
3. Dinners booked

Can the female members here mention anything else they would expect/want on an occasion like this?

She's getting that as a b-day present on the friday morning. The weekend is more to say happy annibrithdaysary. I'm also not really keen on having all the families over at my house this year, so going away is a blessing in disguise.

Congrats on woo'ing all the ladies on MyBB dude, I'm sure their hubbies are going to LOVE you for this :D

Anyway, glad to see chivalry still exists and that women on here appreciate it rather than expect it as well!

Guess I'm going to have to expect a couple of rather angry pm's in the near future...

I'll post pics on my return and seal my grave :p
