Anonymous hackers publish personal information of ISIS terrorists

Awesome.
We need these guys to expose everything that the ANC have been trying to hide as well.

I said tjhis in the other thread then a mod deleted it.

What is stopping them from bringing down Zuma?

Why would a mod delete that statement???
MyBB funded by the ANC?

Well it's deleted. So fck knows I don't care really

What Anonymous is doing, is fantastic!

By identifying, hacking or publishing the accounts where money is moving through will lead to the flow of money to these terrorists to be limited. Effectively, this will restrict their plans and actions. It will also leave a number of their people without any money. I just heard that a number of law enforcement agencies are already over these accounts published and they are about to be blocked and funds seized.

Publishing personal identifiable information such as names, addresses, etc is also great! All over the world a number of these terrorists are now fleeing for their lives. If they are not killed by LEs, they will be by the general public. Hope many of them are killed violently over the next few days!

Hacking and closing their social media accounts, websites and email addresses are also great! This effectively stops most of their communication capabilities leaving these groups in disarray, making them easy targets for those who need to kill them. Anonymous are busy working on mobile phones too. Hope they have successes on this too.

Lol, wtf, coz Zuma is obviously just as dangerous as ISIS? Why would they give two ****s about Zuma?

This is not going to end well. Two things will happen - innocent bystanders are going to get hurt - at least one poor sap is going to be identified as a ISIS supporter by accident (Or intent - anyone here heard of Swatting?)
And Anonymous is going to turn onto what they were originally opposed to - Big Brother. Oh, the irony.

True.

This is the risk one takes. You, unfortunately need to weigh the pros and cons and see if the actions are worth the risks. In this case I would agree with Anonymous. The pros are worth the risk.

I find it interesting that Anonymous manage this WITH-OUT all the proposed draconian internet snooping / anti-encryption laws, which could allow governments to track how often we open our fridge (once that is IoT enabled)... All in the name of "protect" us.

Anonymous probably have more chance of bringing down ISIS than anybody else does.

For the biggest part, their current actions are condoned by most governments around the world. Their information is being accepted and worked on. I doubt that any government would act against these hackers.

Problem is, groups such as isis should remember, you play with the lions' balls, expect to get bitten.

Since most of the population believes nowadays anything Facebook/the internet says, this is very dangerous if the wrong information is leaked to the public and mob justice ensues.

Yeah agreed.

What I like about it is that they're (Anonymous) at least doing something that's within their power and knowledge. Government resources for this type of thing are not enough, and it takes ages to train someone to do what they can do on a whole.

I've seen people commenting slamming their actions, "oooh, I'm sure ISIS are really worried about their twitter accounts" and such like, downplaying what's happening.

But at least they're doing something, its going to disrupt their western recruitment, intel is intel, bad/good leads are still leads, and it can be used by the authorities.

Every little bit helps, and you need a multi-disciplined army in this day and age. Information is key.

When it comes to isis, I do not care and I am sure there are hundreds of millions of others who don't either. If innocent people were in contact with isis groups in any way for any reason and their information is found during hacking activities and published online, so be it.

Yep, LE capabilities differ from country to country, but even all LEs combines, they still do not have the capabilities nor experience Anonymous has.

Anonymous is causing havoc for isis at this point in time, whether they admit it or not. These guys are fleeing for their lives.

Anonymous is not only closing their social media accounts, but also releasing banking and other personal identifiable information. These guys will soon find it difficult to spread their lies, communicate with one another, move money around the world. They will become isolated and sitting ducks for authorities and vigilante groups alike.

Anonymous are doing much more right now than anyone would ever realize.
