So Sentech are making changes AFTER their "magic" fix date ...

What this time ....

Core MyWireless network maintenance: 5 September 00:00 - 06:00

Maintenance work will be performed on the core MyWireless Network on 5 September from 05:00 - 06:00. All MyWireless services will be unavailable during this period.

Right time for some marketing of our own. Lets use word of mouth to tell people not to sign with sentech. They never gonna fix this!!!!!

Do you really mean to say that you haven't already told everyone who asks just how bad the service is?

I consider myself quite lucky: most of the time my connection works the same as a 56k modem. I even managed to listen to the BBC live stream at 16k! Not bad for a 128k package, don't you think?

And with a lot of tweaking I can get the RealPlayer to show me the BBC TV news 35k stream without losing more than about half the picture. On other times I can even get about 64k dowloading speed, but only if I run 8 simultanous threads. I guess that must make me a "power user".[

Come now, every network undergoes periodic maintenance. This date for problems to be solved is not going to be the date that they NEVER have to maintain the network again. So, honestly, I see no fault with them working on the network at any point after September 1st.

Tharaxis, it just one would've expected that they had ample time over and during the past two weeks to do maintenance, which will affect ALL services, on the "core MyWi network".

Well, last Sunday SAIX performed network maintenance that would effect the "entire ADSL network" and warned users that they may expect downtime during this period (luckily I didn't, but I'm sure some did). This is not an uncommon thing to perform maintenance over an entire service such as MyWi or ADSL, and Sentech cannot be held to blame for any network maintenance they have to perform.

As long as the speeds improve on September 1st to the speeds they should be.

My point was simple Tharaxis. The network is OBVIOUSLY not yet working as promised. Their initial indications were that the 128K "upgrade" would be completed by 30 August.

Things DON'T seem fixed...

The ONLY other alterations to the network mentioned are scheduled for 5 September - 6 days after the supposed completion of operation "Lets get MySmokesingnal working".

So, unless this is some sort of "different" maintenance - which MOST ISP's would have detailed - one has to assume this has something specifically to do with the performance enhancement of a seriously BAD network.

I am part of a group of users meeting with Sentech on Saturday the 4th of September - What's the bet the "magic bullet" response to our questions will be the 5th September maintenance.

Manufactured for the purpose no doubt. If we are kept out of the loop we can only assume. Its maintenance. Thats means maintaining and not making better. Its not an excuse even if they want to use it. They have had long enough.

im having withdrawel symptoms..... really big boobs vol 4 is out and i cant download cause it's dog slow!

Hell, my gran on a scooter with a memory stick is faster than Sentech's MyWireless!
