I applied for an Extended Data contract with subsidised modem at an MTN shop in Potch about two weeks ago. After the first week went by MTN decided my 3 month bank statement was not sufficient so I let the dealer fax my employment contract (new job so I had no salary slip) as proof of income. That was a week ago. We are fast approaching end of the month and I doubt I'll be able to use the full 2GB in time, assuming MTN gets its act together

MTN, I don't even have a contract with you yet and I'm already looking for the door out. The whole process is backward, after the contract has been approved it should be up to the CUSTOMER to GIVE PERMISSION to the SP to activate it in case he's changed his mind because of the crap "service". It doesn't help offering a competitive bundle etc. if you cannot back it up. I am seriously looking to cancel the whole thing because I have to go to CT next week without my connection being sorted
