Wonder what that thing is! Weird that they've seen it twice now in such a short period of time!

If the same object is spotted again then i will believe it. Till then it can be any sort of equipment issue or lighting issue etc. Face on Mars, Obelisks etc

Whatever it was it was vaporized by the massive flare afterwards.

Actually had an odd space dream last night. I looked up and saw a shooting star which hit another star which in turn broke up and hit other stars, this started happening exponentially and I felt such dread in my dream thinking this was the end of existance. I put it down to falling asleep watching Cosmos though.

That's most likely just a cosmic ray impact. The entire video only has that one still frame. Would be much easier to identify if he had actual footage.

That's because there are 12 second intervals between shots. Check the pics in my previous post.

Missed those, but it's still very consistent with cosmic rays. Especially if it's not present in the shots before/after. I've participated in some citizen science projects using video footage from these satellites and cosmic ray impacts like that are very common, especially just before CMEs.

Could it not be some sort of asteroid breaking up?

Nope. You would see some debris and it would appear differently.

Check out this link to see how more frequent data looks like and how bright stars/planets appear to the sensors.

On a second look the image looks like a bright star + cosmic ray impact.

With all the footage of UFO's from every angle there is, how come we never see space debris or satellites? Ok maybe some UFO's are actually space debris but I have yet to see a picture of earth with a satellite in it. Is there a certain space where no satellites are to be deployed?
