Do they actually believe that or do they just say it for the benefit of the gullible? They really think this little haul is going to make even a miniscule dent in the illegal drug trade? It's laughable. The police anti-gang unit in the Western Cape says it is continuing to make inroads in its war against illegal firearms and drugs.
Little haul? Obviously you haven't seen previous confiscations, or seen the work and territories that AGU goes through. To say it's laughable is a bit of an insult to them.Do they actually believe that or do they just say it for the benefit of the gullible? https://ewn.co.za/2019/06/13/200-officers-specialised-units-deployed-after-attack-on-ct-anti-gang-unitCAPE TOWN – The hunt continued for another suspect on Thursday morning in connection with the anti-gang unit shooting in Cape Town. Six officers were shot and wounded while on a mission in the Samora Machel area on Wednesday morning. Police said officers apprehended one of the suspects, a 26-year-old man, in Paarl on Wednesday afternoon.
At least 200 officers have since been deployed to Samora Machel to track down the remaining suspect. Authorities, however, pointed out the terrain made it difficult to police communities like the Sweet Home Farm informal settlement, where the attack played out.

Hours after six unit members were shot during an operation in Samora Machel, Philippi, two assault rifles, 9mm pistols and hundreds of rounds of ammunition were seized in two raids in nearby Happy Valley on Wednesday night.
Police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk said two men, aged 35 and 64, were arrested in the raids and would appear in court charged with possession of prohibited firearms - the R5 rifles - and possession of illegal firearms and ammunition. Mounting gang violence in the area prompted the police to implement a 72-hour total shutdown of Samora Machel township, where police minister Bheki Cele said he had told officers to “make life difficult”.
Yes, although I was exaggerating. Tiny haul is more accurate. So it is for the benefit of gullible members of the public? Or do police actually believe their own bullsh*t? Naturally I was being kind by calling it laughable.Little haul? Obviously you haven't seen previous confiscations, or seen the work and territories that AGU goes through.
