Haha, Telkom will start getting angry if this happens more often.

This was great fun, and maybe now that we have proved that we are serious about doing things, some more guys from MyADSL will come along next time!

Slimothy, if you come I'll wet my t-shirt, and thats a promise. But you have to come participate.

So why don't you install your own www.paradyne.com DSLAM device and run copper to surrounding residents, get bandwidth from an International Sat company and put up a big billboard: Stuf Icasa and Telkom.
Now that will really get their attention.

bcsatellite.net packages start at 95 Euro.
aah and ofcourse that old chestnut it is illegal for data to
cross boundaries to which I reply:

Since Megawan paved the way for the Wisp business in South-Africa, over a 100 of them have been established. They have engaged in a careful balancing act where they have convinced people to subscribe to them and send data over boundaries, but convinced the subscribers that setting up their own networks is 'illegal' . The irony of this is unbelievable. It just shows how stupid South-Africans really are.

I'd rather use the services, not have to run it. What's this got to do with the topic?
