Can you believe the idiot!!!! I think Sipho, go have a read about our country before making stupid brain dead statements like that.

Stop insulting and engage your mind.
A black person in south Africa during apartheid stood a greater chance of being sentenced to death than a white one. If you don't know this, you don't know apartheid. Don't lie to me that the death sentence was equally applied to both blacks and whites.

The ANC got rid of apartheid, be thankful that you don't have to fear MK bombing a mall or white owned properties. We are now all free.

Thats why I will always vote ANC.
Some people never learn. Good luck with that vote in the next 10 yrs. I doubt that the ANC will even worry about you.
Remember those who dont learn from history are doomed to repeat it. ;)

They killed innocent civilians. In Amanzimtoti they killed 3 children in the Mall blast.

Fking cowards.

Well they would have had no success against the army, SA had probably one of the best forces in the world. Now, we have approximately 80% combat ineffective troops riddled with AIDS.
The ANC were a terror organisation as only terrorists traget innocent civilians.

Siphox - please read this and then tell us if you recognise the ANC as it is today anywhere.

This is a vision that each and every humanbeing should carry in his heart. The ANC does carry this vision even today. We still aspire to this vision and we will continue to do so even if some of us turn to corruption and self-enriching as their main persuit. Yengeni was corrupt, what happened to him, went to jail, what about shaik, still in jail. And Zuma, still fighting to stay out of jail.
The ANC is not blind, it can see.
Most people who work in the NPA are ANC, and guess what they are prosecuting fellow ANC member when they get corrupt. No one gets away clean, even if you are the president of the ANC, you are not above the law.

We the problem is that, BEE is not benefiting a greater majority of blacks, so that is why I am specifically saying that BEE should benefit more blacks. I like the ANC because it is non-racial and multi-racial, that is why through out its history it attracted such Afrikanaar as Naude and Bram Fisher and other. It attracted Indians, coloreds and the International Community.
What party do you support?

Oh my god is this rubbish. Every single person gets away, as long as they are high ranking ANC members or contributors.
It is a bloody mockery of justice.

Then why didn't shaik, a high ranking supporter and member of the ANC not get away it. why didn't yengeni not get away with it, they are all high ranking?

Would you vote ANC if they shot at, and killed your family on the highway from the comfort of a convoy?

"Then why didn't shaik, a high ranking supporter and member of the ANC not get away it. why didn't yengeni not get away with it, they are all high ranking?"

They shutdown the scorpians, yes I can see they are very much dedicated to investigating their own members.. You know Zuma is corrupt. Admit it. Most other Zuma supporters admit it, they simply try to validate it as acceptable.

Siphox, what value does BEE add to business - other than complying with legislation (which you'll appreciate is a cyclical answer)?

I'm still waiting for an answer as to whether you trust Zuma.

Lastly, don't you feel insulted by BEE/AA/EE. After all, it suggests that blacks can't compete with whites, and are therefore inferior. By its very nature, it is racist - against blacks.

Kids today are leaving school, having had equal access to eduction, yet the black kids are far more likely to get a job, or get into university than white kids. Surely, if, as I'm sure you believe, blacks are equal to whites, not treating them as equals is highly racist. It is suggesting to blacks that they are stupid and will never be able to compete on equal footing to whites - a statement that is highly disempowering and goes against everything that the freedom charter (as quoted below) stands for.

We, the People of South Africa, declare for all our country and the world to know:

that South Africa belongs to all who live in it, black and white, and that no government can justly claim authority unless it is based on the will of all the people;

that our people have been robbed of their birthright to land, liberty and peace by a form of government founded on injustice and inequality;

that our country will never be prosperous or free until all our people live in brotherhood, enjoying equal rights and opportunities;

that only a democratic state, based on the will of all the people, can secure to all their birthright without distinction of colour, race, sex or belief;

And therefore, we, the people of South Africa, black and white together equals, countrymen and brothers adopt this Freedom Charter;

And we pledge ourselves to strive together, sparing neither strength nor courage, until the democratic changes here set out have been won.

Ask yourself this, do you honestly support BEE/AA/EE because you think it is good policy, or do you support because of your own insecurity about being black. I'm not asking you to answer this on the forum - it is a highly personal question, but try to be honest with yourself.

Yengeni spent 5 months of his 4 year sentence in prison ... I hardly call that effective punishment.

Please describe how you believe businesses benefit from AA and BEE.

Diversity in the workplace is positive because it brings various world-views.
More empowered blacks means a greater human resources field to pick from. Remember that blacks are the majority. Plus Business tend to be in good terms with government which ables them to influence economic policy. But the most important thing is that they can get government business which is good for business.
More rich blacks, the more business benefit from the massive buying power of blacks and in turn businesses expand, and our economy grows.

Every case is dealt with according to its own merit. The merit of this case resulted in him spending this much time in jail.

We all want to see criminals rot in jail, but unfortunately we cant use our feelings.
