Wife's got the diesel. Very nice, lotsa power.
i.e.
CRV - Huge boot, Tiguan - cubby hole :(
CRV - That plastic feeling inside... Tiguan - looks and feel classy

Whatever else is on your list, go drive them all...

The Tiguan does not do it for me.

I agree about the plasticky feeling ... that irritates me a bit.

Why do I see so many Chevrolets SUV lately on the road? ANything good about them or is it going for a good price ?

They have a very 'car like' drive which I enjoy, only test driven one.

Nice thing about Honda is the reliability - you need that with Honda SA service.

Love mine - excellent long distance cruiser too. Avg fuel consumption over last 11,500km = 8.8l/100km, with roughly 40% city driving. Not bad for a 2.4l engine.

Only dislike is the price of options / spares: spilled a petrol/2stroke mix all over the cargo floor cover, which looks like just a high-density plastic base covered with carpeting meterial - Honda wanted almost RK4.5 for a replacement, excl VAT. Flight hand cleaner works wonders ;)

I was interested in buying one of those.
I looked up some reviews for it and when I saw things like "Best mom car ever", I decided to buy a Suzuki SX4 instead.:)

Don't let that moniker fool you - is is a brilliant car. If it does what you need it to do - you will not be disappointed. Pity the price on the RSV-i increased by RK45 in less than a year, but I guess that's the case everywhere.
