Have you bothered to phone Thule and ask, or do you no longer use telephones?

Dude - phoning is absolute last resort.
If a company doesn't come up with a web/email contact on the first page of Google results, then they won't get business from me...

C.hrist! You are joking??!!

What utter BS - pick up the phone, Google their number, if you insist on using Google, and phone them FFS!

This is 2015. I shouldn't be forced to use 1940s technology because car accessory suppliers/retailers haven't yet caught a wake up

So you are saying that you no longer have the social skills involved to ask a salesman how much something costs?

Recent quote for Thule in Woodmead was R7000 for my roof racks on a Q3 and R16 000 for a roof box. Unfortunately I couldn't hide my laughter. Audi's roofbox costs R6000 and some change.

I know - crazy prices - I pushed 99% of my clients towards Whispair roof racks and boxes - cheaper than Thule and much quieter.

Thule stuff is expensive, register on the Hub forum, contact a Guy there from Autostyle (look in the classifieds) they do good deals for Thule stuff, the roof top box thingy are way over priced. There are normally a few for sale on Gumtree.

I also have an extreme dislike for phoning companies for things. I always seem to end up with a dolt on the other end. Timely email correspondence is way more convenient.

As far as phoning is concerned, it tends to be slightly quicker using 1940's technology, rather than posting a question on a forum..........

The OP posted this question at 3:17 pm on the 10th March - it is now 9:57 am on the 11th March - I have just posted a link that has prices on it - +- 18 hours, to get an answer that would have taken all of ten minutes including finding the Yellow Pages.

If you call his way progress, then I give up!

Meh, I agree. Never had an issue with picking up the phone - one can even use a cellphone which more recent technology than 1940 :)
