You would honestly think they could insist that their upstream provider has some kind of redundancy in place to multiple sources, especially after so many failures..

Everyone knows who they use as there international upstream provider. They also bring back somebandwidth themsevles via SAT but there is massive degredatition in the Upstream network, and the have priopritised traffic for there important clients, so guess who does not fall in this group ?

there is no excuse good enough to cover this problem ... split your int up over multible vendors and feeds ... that way if there is a disastar all that happens is you slow down ...

these schmucks need to be sacked and replaced with skills ...

Sentech has a whole satelite system to their disposal, their OWN upstream AND downstream, also been waiting 4 weeks for customer care to come back to me...

they're pathetic... period

IS often uses the term ETR (I think Estimated Time Resolution) in their outage notifications.

ETA = Estimated Time of Arrival (usually used with planes)
ETA = Spanish version of the IRA *g*
