The ASA sent me a letter on Friday to say they have set up a committee to investigate the matter, and they have given the advertiser time to respond. I think Sentech is trying to stall things until they can get their bandwidth management to work. I guess this means we have a long wait ahead of us. You can read my complaint on my web site. http://privacy.4mg.com
I have objected to their use of the term "Enter the Broadband Zone", which is on everything from their modem box to their connection software to their web site. I think its going to be difficult for them to wriggle out of that one.
The only bad part of the whole affair is that the committee is going to ask for expert input from the ISPA. But Sentech is a member of the ISPA because of their InfoSat service.
M Web provided the ASA with a technical report prepared by DiData to say that the user would experience speeds that are 3x faster. But M-Web has been very cagegy about supplying this report to anyone or posting it on their web site, even though they promised me that they would. I think it's time to follow this up <grr>
Again, there is info on my web site [

I have also filed a complaint with the ASA about Telkom's ADSL advert. They have received it, but no date has been set. They have to give Telkom the right to reply.
