Any news on a new iMAC

The prices of Apple products here are just insane though.. I am having to finance a iMac through the Apple Store on a Vodacom contract just to afford one (I am but a lowly graphic designer). This means I am paying almost double the original price. My sister in Oz told me how much they cost there and it's about a third cheaper! Come on people. I was told that the reason why it's so expensive is because the good ol' government is taxing the bejeezuz out of it because it's a luxury item.

Get yourself a hackintosh (pc with mac os x)

much cheaper, although I must say not quite as awesome as an iMac it is almost.

The new iMacs are droolworthy though and the best machines out there

Not directly from Apple but you might find a reseller willing to ship overseas.

No surprise there. Core ripoff continues.

Yes- I've heard the arguments about sourcing them from the UK, VAT, import duties etc... But R9k difference!?!?!? And thats on the retail price!
