PVR can make Mondays better?

I think supersport only bought the rights for a few conference games. So you only get the one they decide to show you.

We bought the nfl streaming season package. So we get all the games on demand. It was almost R2500 but worth every penny. Now the biggest problem is to block out all media till we get a chance to watch a game if we missed it.

Shame I wonder if the jaguars are even aware the season has started. They are really hurting this season.
Jags are tanking this season for Teddy Bridgewater, couple of my friends in London who are in my fantasy league are going to the game tomorrow (Jags vs Niners at Wembley stadium)

Trying to learn the game. Am a huge Union fan, but very open and keen to learn Have worked through a number of videos on Youtube.

I know enough to know that not knowing enough means the real delights are missed. Both union rugger and cricket seem silly and boring to the ignorant, so the same must apply to gridiron.
To me the game is more similar to cricket, ie its all about stats (300yards passsing, 4 TDs, ect ect) and just like in cricket where 1 team bats first and then goes off the field then bowls , in NFL the same sort of thing sort of applies where the team plays offense then, the same team comes off the field then the defense comes on.

Im thinking of getting a gamepass for all the ravens games when I go overseas in Dec,as Im not sure Argentina carry any games.

36.5 fantasy points :D:D:D:D:D

Calvin is just a different animal out there, I watched highlights of that game and the Cowboys secondary looked so helpless against him, guys were triple covering him and still he just plucks the ball out of the air like it was nothing, he got me 38 points for me (cbssports), Plus my QB threw 5 tds (Drew Brees)

Yep, Calvin is just a beast.

I'm really happy with the Raiders' season so far. Much, much, MUCH better than I thought they'd be. Did you guys see Terrelle Pryor's NFL record 93-yard QB TD run? First play from scrimmage.

I saw that run, it was just ridiculous how big that hole Pryor had to run through, also the Steelers looked increadibly slow trying to catch up to him. Im happy for the Raiders they doing much better that everyone expected.

Pryor is deceptively fast & athletic for his size though so once he got behind the defensive backs they were never going to run him down. He looks slow because of his long limbs, but he has jets. During his college Pro Day various scouts clocked him between 4.32 & 4.42 seconds during the 40-yard dash (football's benchmark for speed) and he weighed in at 240 pounds at the time. That is elite speed and the kind of speed found in receivers, runningbacks & cornerbacks.

Trade deadline later today, any trades you guys like to see?

after watching Kellens basically cost the Rams the game vs the seahawks last night , I think its safe to say that they need to trade for a QB ( Ryan Mallet comes to mind)
I would also like to see the Ravens upgrade at Centre and possibly at WR (Gordon,Nicks and Britt are all on the trade block, but they all come with bagage)

So, Broncos vs Seahawks in the Superbowl. After Richard Sherman's douche bag rant, I'm hoping for a Broncos win.

Love the NFL, will watch Superbowl any day, not really familiar with teams and players, but after a study of the rules (which are actually quite simple) really got to enjoy the game properly.

Pity ESPN has left us and that the hours are so often out of sync on the odd occasion that a live game is screened.

I hope the Broncos win too, but I don't believe there was anything wrong with Shermans little rant, I mean the dude is the best corner in the league and Crabtree was tuning him on twitter a few days prior and he schooled Crabtree...that is awesome, he won he game for the Seahawks with that play and was all hyped up. I think people are blowing it out of proportion.

Did anyone watch the seahawks niners game? Epic championship game. Was a nail biter till the end. I am going seahawks for the superbowl. I love what Pete Carol is doing there. Broncos will probably take it tho. They really look unbeatable. Took off work on Monday, so I am good to go. Let's go hawks!!!!!!!!!!

As the saying goes; ''Defence wins championships''.

If any team can contain Manning it is the Seahawks. They have a mean defence and the best secondary in the league. Their offence is also pretty darn good and if Lynch hits Beast Mode they can grind the Broncos' and keep Manning off the field.

Russell Wilson is not ready to win a Super Bowl, however the Seahawks defense deserves to win. Which will be more telling?

With that being said, Peyton could just choke and make it easier on everyone!

Worst super bowl ever. I'm glad about the outcome. I love me an underdog and the seahawks absolutely destroyed the broncos. Just a bummer it was so boring to watch. The 49ers seahawks championship game would have been epic as a super bowl.

It's a game of yards... Progress is measured in yards. The attacking (offensive) team get four attempts (downs) to make ten yards. If they make it, they get another four downs to make another ten yards. This goes on from one side of the field, which is 100 yards long, to the other, 'till they get within ten yards of the goal line (end zone) at which point they get four attempts to score a goal (touchdown). Calls like "first and ten" mean your first attempt to get ten yards, "second and seven", "third and short" and so on... If it looks like they won't make the ten yards on their fourth attempt, they usually punt (kick) the ball into their opponents side of the field, turning over possession to the other team who now do exactly the same going the other way. Offensive teams are trying to make yards and defensive teams are trying to stop them and force a turn over. Good defences can drive an offence back so they end up having to cover a lot more than ten yards on a particular play. The "grab the ball" part you talk about is called the "snap". The attacking and defending teams line up face to face at the line of scrimmage (the point to which the attacking team carried the ball on their last play). The offence snap the ball to their quarterback (kinda like our flyhalf) who then passes or hands off the ball to whichever player is in the best position to gain yardage. The defence do everything they can to disrupt the quarterback and stop running or catching players.
Touchdowns score six points, a conversion is one, a field goal (like a penalty kick in rugby) is three points
Hope that helps Celine

EDIT: Should add, both teams have players who are better at defence and offence in their squad. When a team has the ball, their 11 best offensive players will be on the field. When they turn over the ball, the offensive players come off the field and the 11 best defensive players take their place.
