The battery is a little small, but its an acceptable car for a town runaround or to work and back.
The Mini has a 32.6 kWh battery, not sure how much is usable.
At a minimum I'd recommend 40kWh of battery for a car, this is close, but not quite there.
Car Magazine says its an adequate car, but there are better options out there (in UK). Given the dearth of electric cars available in South Africa (very old model leaf, fugly i3, and $$$ Pace), this is probably your best bet for electric here.

Do note it starts at R642k for the S spec & it is relatively tame with features. The L spec has more kit but that starts at R722k.
