Below is the data used to calculate your download speed:

* Download time: 83.83 seconds
* Size of file: 500 KiloBytes
* Estimated line speed: 48.7 (kilobits/second)
* Estimated line speed: 6 (kiloBytes/second)

This is in Allen's Nek, 22:17, 27/07/06. Cell info: AllensNek-1.

I have a 3G connection, stable at two bars (same as it has been for more than a year now). Nothing has changed on my system, except for the rather significant lack in line speed. However, since upgrading to HSDPA I've been experiencing MANY dead connections, i.e. the software reckons I am connected, and the blue light on the card remains solidly lit, but there is no data throughput.

However, I could still live with that (by doing the 3G-jig (unplug card, shut down VMConnect through TaskMan, putting the card back, etc.) I could get a fair bit of uptime every now and again) but this line speed is horrible.

I haven't phoned 155 yet. YET. Simply because I've been away quite a bit, etc. But if the problem remains, I shall get on the line to them in the morning...

I have over the past week or so seen a drastic degradation in line speed, coupled with disconnects and dead connections on HSDPA.

Both in Sandringham and Sandton JHB.

V3G any idea's please!!
