Anybody else been unable to access the 8ta self-service portal to check balances etc. recently (https://kya.8ta.com/ etc.)? I get a really strange message saying "Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete."

Huh? Anyone got any ideas?

Hmmmm. I switched over the weekend from accessing it directly from a dongle attached to my computer, to the same dongle (and SIM) from a router. Could this be it perhaps, and if so, any advice? None of my other internet traffic changed at all because of the switchover -- only perhaps this one?

Sorted! If anyone else has this problem, apparently it is caused by a problem with cookies. The recommended solution is to clear the History cache, which worked for me. An unfortunate side-effect is that you have to log into all your regular sites again, and change their settings where necessary (e.g. levels, bandwidth for streaming sites etc.). Scorched earth, but it does have the advantage of cleaning out the clutter!

A few days later: this is actually driving me nuts! I wonder if anyone has a workaround? Having to clear my cookies every time I want to check my 8ta balance in Firefox is tedious. An alternative is to use IE just for 8ta balance checks, but that defeats the purpose of having Firefox as my trusty one-size-fits-all browser....

Thanks for the tip re: clearing cookies. It's been driving me crazy too.

Interestingly, when using firefox, I found that I only run into this issue when using ADSL or another ISP. When logging onto the 8ta site with a 8ta connection, it works fine.
