Your ID number and phone number. Phone must be on you since you will need to verify the number using an OTP.

OHHHH okay thank you so much really helps
yes, pretty straightfoward since your details are verified against home affairs data so no documentation is required.
To get an account and card should be easy. Its more advanced features like unlocking higher profiles that are challenging depending on your profile information already on hand.
Hope for your sake the kiosk is working on the day.

If the kiosk has an old address, just say it is correct and don't type your correct one in manually or you'll be stuck on a 50k limit forever. They don't send you physical mail anyway

This is a PnP issue I think but ever since the tyme smartshopper number and my smartshopper profile linked buying airtime and electricity on the PnP app shows as service unavailable. Been like that a while now....

Anyone else have this issue?

Yip, same issue.

Also had another strange one. I received an sms saying 800 smart shopper points were expiring. So when I got to the cashier (I don't carry or even know where my blud card is) I said use R10 of smartshopper points. So she says - if you want to redeem some and not all of your points you have to have the physical card. I was like huh?! But she was keen to redeem all my points

The Goalsaves page still has bugs on it.

One of the Goalsaves I opened this month was showing that I am on 6% interest and that I put in R15 and my interest is R200.06 when in fact I put in R215 and interest is 6c.
Hope they do not mess this up further since this has tax implications.

They need a total across all goalsaves to show total invested and total interest so you can see at a glance if you at the R100 000 limit on goalsaves.

This bug has been around for some time. Somewhere on this thread I posted a screenshot of it.

EDIT: OK my screenshot was of a different problem where the interest was shown as a negative amount.

Thanks. The reps on this forum have gone quiet. It seems alot of things that are important features are just taking too long to roll out.

Sorry my problem was a bit different, but it's still frustrating that bugs keep popping up, especially where ones money is involved. I have a problem where I can see old Goalsaves but can't do anything with them. They have been paid out and are empty but they still sit there. I'm slowly giving up on Tymebank. Some days 9% interest is not worth all this crap.

Yes mine is material cos its telling me I earned R200.06 interest.
If people put in R100 000 and it does that on their tax certificate, its going to mean they going to owe SARS lots of money.
Way more than they even got back in interest.

I have the same bug. It normally corrects itself after a while. I doubt it has tax implications, since the emailed statements are correct. In any case, if SARS does query it, it's easy to prove what you deposited and show that the interest rate was not 700%.

It's usually a pain to prove anything to anyone in this country. Never received any statements before but thanks for confirming it autocorrects.

I get statements intermittently. They disappeared for two months, then they came back end of last month. Hope they're here to stay.

that's what I would suggest, that way you will get full KYC and have the R100k / R500k limits on your account (the highest). They have no way of increasing your level if you are on the level down, its been "coming soon" for months - even if you send them proof of address from the municipality they can't change your level.

Has anyone been able to make an eft payment to Vodacom?
Seems Vodacom dont have a bank account number to provide me to make EFT payment. They only use the big boy banks.

They do not have any EFT details. The only way is Bank approved beneficiary which Tyme Bank does not have.

I pay my Vodacom contract every month at Checkers. Earn some extra smart shopper points for doing that. Maybe you should try that? Just go to money market. Give them the account number starting with Ixxxxx-x and then pay with your card.

My situation exactly. When doing the address verification, I saw an old address of ours listed but the ambassador at the kiosk (PnP Jean Crossing, Centurion) advised that I should rather type in my current/correct address as this would also update my residential address at Home Affairs.

This didn't happen though. I visited HA Centurion a few days later and they still had my old address on record. I gave them proof of address and it's been updated, but now I'm stuck on the R50k "getting to know you" profile even though my address on record at TymeBank matches with what's on record at HA.

I phoned TymeBank's customer care (case ID G-49265) and was told the only way to get past this restriction now is to wait for the facial recognition feature to be rolled out to the kiosks. Pity.
Just received an SMS:

"TymeBank: Big dreams? Your account has been upgraded. Maximum balance limit now R500k (incl. R100k GoalSave), daily tx limit is R100k."

I didn't change anything or have any further contact with TymeBank after my visit to HA quoted above, so if it was the rep (@TymeBank or @TymeGuy) that organised this for me, a big THANK YOU!
