I am also still waiting for the iOS app; it has been promised as 'coming soon' but it does not even seem to be on the horizon.
And don't tell me that I 'can use the website' - this is not a proposition when you are out and about and quickly need to check on your balance. This lack is stopping me from using Tyme Bank as I would like to. :thumbsdown:
Their target demographic does not use IOS devices. You are an outlier. As their target demographic changes, you will get your app.

I am not getting the OTP when trying to make payments, in some cases, it doesn't even show the enter OTP screen... on the Website.

This is something we have on our roadmap for 2020, we understand there is a demand for it and we should have more info in the coming months. :)

For some reason the App locked my account due to an invalid pin, although I'm 100% sure I entered it correctly.
I can't reset it due to "technical difficulties" and I spent 15 minutes of airtime trying to get through to them.

This fkn sucks to say the least.
Am I even able to use my card at an ATM or till since the login pin is blocked?
Or do I need to test it like a dumbass first?

I was really hoping but then after over a year not being able to sort out basic issues that any first year programmer can do and not replying to concerns I don't have hope any more. Don't know if it's the programming of just the infrastructure that's crap but either way these same issues that keep popping up should have been fixed within months. For some reason I'm getting the idea that Tyme is always going to be the EasyEquities of the banking sector so good luck if anybody ever really needs to use their money.

Lol they're one of the fastest growing digital banks with over a million clients. Been working fine for me without a hitch apart from some cosmetic bugs on the GoalSaves. There will always be fringe cases since they're a digital bank anyway.

Fringe cases? Every time I've had to reset my password because they make me choose some arbitrary character I get an error or the OTP doesn't arrive. Last time I went through all their security questions a couple of times only for the system to say it can't verify them at the time. These are basic services many people have had issues with and after over a year they still aren't fixed.

Managed to resolve it after spending more than a half hour trying to get through to them.
Airtime is wasted, but what I else could I do.
Sucks.

TymeBank is far from perfect. No Bank or man made system ever is/will be/can be.

It does the job for the most part, and at tiny fraction of the cost compared to all the other Big boys so if you want perfection go pay hundreds every month for 3.72% more day to day banking convenience.

FYI it's not a fraction of the cost of Capitec and that works perfectly fine 364 days a year. People always come up with the cost excuse when something doesn't work when there's no excuse for it not to work.

Or how about it's 2020 don't force arbitrary archaic stuff on us that's proven not to work. My password manager is a flat file. Banking and email passwords aren't stored but all different and derived similarly. Now one entity breaks that. They can at least ensure that their reset procedure works as opposed to fail every single time.

@TymeBank I have noticed a similar thing with me, although my account wasn't locked. In the Android app if you enter the pin too fast, it says "Invalid PIN". You have to enter it slowly (wait for each number to change to a point before entering the next).

Has anyone ever had to deal with their god awful support? My wife has created an account, but accessing it has been non-existent. We've been trying to get her password and pin reset, but the system keeps saying Invalid SA ID or password.
We've tried phoning multiple times, but each time the "support" agent just tells her to reset her password and pin, and after we repeatedly do that and show them it does not work, the agent logs the problem, the ticket system shows the problem is then resolved a few days later, and then she still cannot get into her account or reset her password.

This whole experience has me fearful for the day you actually need support regarding your money, and they just don't help you.

Anyone had any experience dealing with someone at Tymebank that is not a brainlet?
