It's not for everyone. But I do see mine upped to R40K which is an improvement over the R20K limit.

Oh well..better than a kick in the teeth or endless enquiries to Tyme or a wasted visit to HA.

Perhaps it's being done via staged process for all clients ( I was on 50k previously) ... @TymeBank ?

Nothing...apparently. Check for yourself?

Well, seems it's not only R20 000 anymore, R40 000 is at least much more workable than R20 000 for my goalsaves, the other transaction limits also increased if I were wantign to use the account for other things.

For some reason upgrading to the latest android app updates your limits with online banking

No. The limits for the different bands have been updated globally and you can see it even on the website. Just Met is now a limit of R40K from the R20K limit last week.

What I have done to get to the R100K limit :

1) Open the account online
2) Create goalsaves
3) Get a debit card @ PnP

The same was done with 5 guys, from 20k to 100k limit (even with issues with finger prints at pick and pay).

Ps, also PM the TymeGuy for issues at the backend maybe.

I opened the account in store, got the card but had issues with fingerprint verification. Have opened goalsaves and transact a few times a month.
I am still on the Just Met stage (40K limit now) and pm'd the rep who said he would pass it on to team leads but cannot guarentee a manual upgrade of my profile.

Just met is the 20K limit. So you are on the mid level. Just monitor it per week ... (honestly). Think alot of guys are just looking for the savings leg (which is very attractive)

Personally I started on the 20K level (with bank account)
Thanks. At least theres hope for the rest of us.
Now with the entry limit being 40K, it's a lot easier to keep a goalsave pocket and transactional account than with R20K.

I'm going to take a walk to the PnP close to the office during lunchtime to see if I can do something to up my limits. I do recall it complaining about my address when I got the card. The problem is, I can't remember the address I lived at when I applied for my ID - so I don't know what address Home Affairs has

I'm now considering dumping Standard Bank because I cannot justify paying their "fees" anymore. The 40k limit is a bit of a problem though

My honest advice ... take small steps changing banks (if you read the horror debit order stories), think twice. If you are not on the 500k limit, think twice (no jokes). Someone at my work changed fully banks, he was on the 20K limit (goalsave), Tyme couldnt take his salary (as an incoming payment), and it bounced. Groot stories. So be warned

I don't do debit orders - not even my bond. My work banks with Standard Bank, so I will probably get that MyMo account with the R4.95 monthly fee. Thereafter I want to EFT as much as possible to Tyme because the closest supermarket to my house is PnP and we spend a lot over there during the month.

Yup that was my exact issue. I couldn't switch my salary over after reading the rules since it would not fit my salary and goalsaves in one account.

I'm in the same situation. Also they have upped the daily limit from R2k to R20k.

Consider the african bank myworld account. its another low cost “free” account, that works.
