@TymeGuy @TymeBank Team

I would just like to say a huge thank you and give massive kudos to Tyme Bank.

I placed an order with uber eats on the 16th of March scheduled for the 17th. I had the usual hold placed on my account on the 16th however this time it did not reverse. I contacted ubereats on the 17th after I was charged again after collecting my food. Ubereats were totally unhelpful and have so far closed two calls of mine asking for a refund. Out of desperation I decided to contact Tyme bank yesterday and ask them to log a dispute. And the lady I spoke to was absolutely amazing and within 3 minutes I had a reference number for my dispute and was asked to email through any screenshots of my correspondence with uber. I did this and today within 24 hours I have my money back. First class service from a first class bank.

I had seems the Best Experience from them.

I opened a account online.
Only deposited couple months later some money.

After 6months, I was traveling for work, saw PnP - Gordons Bay.

Went in,
5min later, I walked out with my card and Strawberry Soft Serve.

Don’t do banking when you are frustrated.

Life too short!

Anybody been unable to complete online transactions with their TymeBank card? It keeps declining even though there is sufficient balance and the transaction is far below my account limits. Google can't even verify the card to save the details in chrome for me. In Store purchases work fine.

Do they also charge for swiping the card as well (like std bank who charges R65 per swipe plus the conversion fee) or its just the conversion fee only (like capitec is doing)?
Think it's only the conversion fee. Then again none of us have used it abroad so can't say for sure.

Don't know. Haven't been outside SA in 21 odd years.

@TymeBank Team or @TymeGuy , tried second time as I wanted to capture fingerprints etc. Fingerprint sensor not working in Pnp - Sanridge and Pnp - Midway mews. First time when I visited few months ago, both machines were switched off so it is an improvement of course.

Seems like something not good is happening over at Tymebank. Its been over a month since any of the 2 reps replied to anyone on this forum and the kiosk at PnP Linkhills has been removed and the kiosk at PnP Christian Village has been offline for a while now. Wonder if our money is safe there?

How do you know the sensor wasn't working? It doesn't merely capture your fingerprint, it compares it to the DHA database, and if not a match it does not update the profile level.

Because nothing was happening on the screen and it kept on giving me prompt of 'please place fingerprint' or some such. And when I checked with PnP customer service, they said others have complained as well and that they will ask the representative to look at it. Basically, one could use kiosk using pin but not if one wants to unlock features as that needs sensor working correctly.

I have a tymebank card that I have been using at PnP but haven't deposited any money into it. To get the savings interest do I need to put in 100k into the account or do I need to put it into a specific account?

I am also looking at African Bank Fixed Deposit. If i deposit 100k into that account for 60 months they have a interest pay out on expiry of 11.11% which is higher than Tymebank. Why are people going with Tymebank over African bank?

Open goalsaves and put in there for interest. No interest unless money is transferred to a Goalsave. You don't need R100k, you can open a Goalsave with 1c. It takes three months to reach max interest.
