Surely these false-positives for their fraud detection are going to get annoying after a while...
Yeah it's complete BS for me. Have never had this problem with Capitec despite not having any purchasing pattern. Even +R20k purchases out of the blue on an account I usually do only a few thousand per month didn't raise any flags. Seems Tyme is trying to completely curb the risk of fraud in order to offer the account. If so it's going to cause a lot of irate consumers.

You can login with pin even if you have thumb print or if you are failing to login with thumb print the pin is always there as a backup.

I signed up 2 days ago online for new account, went down to my local PnP to pick up my card, no TymeBank assistant anywhere in sight, had already left b4 3.30pm and after PnP cust serv staff trying to assist me and numerous attempts using my thumb and pin to log in and failing with errors and telling me to contact the bank by phone I walked out!

We finally have a kiosk. I managed to confirm my details and my limits were increased, but I couldn't print a debit card. It keeps giving me error that it can't print my debit card right now... Any idea on how to get it to work?

Fill up the card dispenser?* :p

*maybe it's empty

Try different days
Try multiple times
Rinse. Repeat

Took me 3 weeks and 5 different stores

Try the above and also send them an email or Facebook messenger message.

How does Smart shopper work at BP? I gave the dude my Tyme Bank card and he just tried swiping it which didn't work

I think they manually have to enter the smartshopper number at the back of the card.

Well maybe an issue with your account because it does work. Everytime I pass a kiosk I login with pin to check if they have added any new features and stuff. It always work with my pin even though I have thumb prints registered.

I would still get a blue pnp card if you don't have one just for the BP fuel. Tyme guy did explain why you can't swipe it because the smartshopper number is loaded on layer 3 of the mag strip so not all point of sale machine can read it including the standard bank pos machines at bp. They need to manually enter it or you can use your blue card to swipe and pay with tyme card will give you the same amount of points.

My account works perfectly online. I can login with password. Pin setup too.

I am not the only person having troubles getting the kiosk to issue a card.
Refer to other TymeBank threads on MyBB, seems like this is a ongoing issue....

I read through the first 23 pages of this thread, sounded good, signed up online, failed on the tax page (are you a South African tax resident). Gave up. Few minutes later, got the sms with my bank account number and welcome to Tyme Bank. Went to PnP around the corner, could not login as I did not get a pin. Went online on my phone, rest pin, answered their home affairs questions, created a pin, logged in on the in store terminal, 2 minutes later had the card in my hand.

Will EFT some bucks from Capitec to Tyme tomorrow and start the 90 day clock on my goal save accounts. Plan to move my kids' savings to goal saves. I may even switch my salary and debit orders.

Digital banks FTW

But, can't reset my password to create one, therefore can't log in online to the bank account. Can get into the APP, but can't edit my info as it gives an error. Call Centre dropped my call after 5min.......

not perfect....

Will someone wake me up when their cameras at the kiosks start working? Impossible to get verified via fingerprints.

Haven't replied to my tweet 24hrs later. Call centre woman told me to reset my password even after I told her 3 times I had tried that 4 times. She is escalating it.

So far, my concern is customer support with this bank. Bad first impressions happening for me and I still don't have s flippen online banking password, nor can I add an email address to my profile.
