I'm not sure what machines they were, but they were the older type that doesn't support the tap payments.

How long did your refunds take to come?

Did you have to request it, or was it automatically refunded as @TymeGuy stated?
Sorry, how much was each debit. Same amounts?

Did it eventually go through?

It was 2 different amounts.

Both eventually went through after being declined, but I was charged for the declined payments as well.

Yeah exactly what happened to me.

Do you have the declined slips?

Got a few, but for one decline I wasn't given the declined slip, they said the bank will automatically sort it out?
If it hasn't reversed its not going to automatically. Have you phoned / emailed?

And as much as I try to stay positive, just stopped for petrol, swiped 600 at shell, declined. Tapped and approved. Checked my account R1200 gone!

@TymeBank @TymeBank_Team @TymeGuy

Email with slips incoming to social, cardops and account services. I did call the call centre as instructed last time but there was no one to help. Call was made 5.minutes ago if you'd like to trace it.

I'm surprised at the amount of declines and non reversals you are getting. I got a couple of declines back in the day but only twice was money deducted but reversed immediately. I assume by swiping you mean insert and pin right.

Didn't know the tymecard was tappable.
Neither did I... just looked now and see the NFC logo..

Epic...

Yes it's basically the only way I use it. TapnPay still need to authorize so I tap and while it authorizes it already back in my wallet. Pin is pointless because the tap works no matter the amount although the high amounts request pin still when tapped but yeah tap ftw.

So some of the knowledgeable PnP cashiers know exactly what to do. Swipe it as smart shopper card and ask are you paying with it? I just reply yes and They tap it as they hand it over. Very quick and efficient.

Did my first transfer around midday, Capitec to Tyme, got SMS at around 7 tonight that money is in.

To that guy who waited so long, blame FNB.

Stopped at Engen Woolies yesterday and today. Both times used Tap to pay. Worked well, so that is a gold star.

Had a call from a Lerato who says my account must still be approved and that is the reason why I can't create an online banking password. Said she will log it and gave me a ref number. Will be patient...

On limits of account balance, how will it be monitored and enforced? If you deposit R100k day 1, move to goal save; then any interest received will push you over the limit. What happens? Does the overflow/interest go to the everyday account? @TymeBank @TymeBank_Team @TymeGuy

PS, I opened an account online with zero issues; and later got my card from PnP Waverley with zero issues. Total time spent less than 5 minutes. Sweet experience

As far as I understand the capital cannot exceed said limits. Interest can take you over the limit. If you then receive an eft that takes you over the total profile limit the eft will be returned

One would hope that is the case, but the wording is “maximum account balances”.
The maximum is R100 000, plus the interest you have earned on your savings.

Sometimes I wonder why there's still FAQ sections on websites if people don't use them anyway.

BSB, well aware of that, yes. My question relates to monitoring and enforcing of this limit, how it will be done and what exactly happens. (Assuming the limit is R100 000 balance/value, not R100 000 capital + interest)

EDIT: Wording on different platforms are ambiguous. Website FAQ R100 000 + interest. Mobile site just states maximum of R100 000, online banking profile limit states maximum balance R100 000. Hence my question and resulting confusion. TB.JPG

Tyme: Your dispute for R-167.40 on card has been logged. We will provide feedback by

Above is sms from Tyme.
Needs some serious attention paid to finer details.

1)on card
Was the card no supposed to be mentioned, or are a few words missing?
There's 2 spaces after the word card, so the number is probably missing.

2)date is missing at the end.
