Tried multiple times today to call the call centre, but couldn't get to speak to a human.
Waited for very very long, but...
I feel sorry for a person who's cards are stolen and he's trying to block it(if he doesn't have access to his tyme app.

We appreciate the effort but if it's going to take Tyme weeks for every simple thing they need to implement that doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. It's linking an ID#. So is it Tyme couldn't do this or could PnP not verify it? Does PnP even have the ID#'s of everyone? Do they not have a proper interface for this?

All of the systems should have been in check and working before implementing this.

Pity too, they never bothered responding to a question regarding update on implementation of online payment functionality.

Would have thought giving their clients an essential banking service like that in 2019 is foremost in their action plan atm!

As I said, they tried to get a jump on Bankzero. At this moment I'm not even sure I'm interested in their goalsaves. Bankzero has been busy for years and they still haven't launched because it takes a lot of time to make sure everything works correctly. Maybe they'll even come with something better than the goalsaves and I trust them more than something that previously launched as a virtual bank but then had to discontinue it.

Yes you need a ID or passport to register for Pnp smart shopper. Do you actually use the services or do you just shoot the breeze?

  1. We are working on enabling the TymeBank Visa Debit cards to perform eCommerce transactions, and to allow card purchases outside SA. These two sets of functionality are linked (many eCommerce sites are acquired by foreign banks). Opening up our cards to international transactions comes with additional risks and responsibilities (e.g. regulatory reporting obligations) - we need to ensure our fraud monitoring, anti-money laundering and reporting systems are up to the task.

Yes I did register for SS but can't remember if I had to show my ID. As for Tyme, don't see why I should be using it to comment on the appalling experiences of others. It's not the service I want or could handle.

Today I've set up a total of 10 GoalSaves. However, for some reason their website didn't accept my ID/pin combination, then I downloaded the app and it accepted my ID/pin combination.

The app itself is laggy, but despite everything it didn't stop me from transferring R500 from my Standard Bank account to my Tyme account. So, currently I have ten R50s in every GoalSave.

This is the problem with South Africans, we just accept and sometimes crave mediocrity. And those that do not, are somehow douchebags in the eyes of the sheep.

Just because you don't like it doen't mean that it's not good for others. Some of us are getting good interest rates from our goalsaves.
Honestly saving hundreds in bank charges and the little I am paying is refunded by smart shopper points.

Tried phoning, emailing and personal messaging the TymeBank account on MyBB so guess they probably only reply when someone publicly complains about them so here goes.

I’m currently on the 2nd level of the 3 levels of the account types which limits me to R50 000 which I can have in my account.

I wish to upgrade to the 3rd level.

When signing up I noticed the latest address that was displayed from the 5 random address section was from more than 10 Years ago and my current address differs and I think that’s why my profile didn’t reach 3rd level status.

What procedure would I follow in order to get this corrected? Does the Home Affairs database seed address from another government body or should address be updated at Home Affairs? Can proof of address be verified directly through Tyme Bank? Home Affairs told me they only update addresses when applying for ID or Passport which I don't need to do.

Please advise on how to correct this issue and precise procedures to follow to get this sorted as soon as possible.

Have the same issue with my address and going to Home Affairs is rather an effort.

That's not what it's about. If so many regular forum users are having issues then many outside are also having issues. I struggled for more than a day to change my password due to a random error on their side. That's something that shouldn't be.

It's clear they weren't ready to launch even at the official launch. No bank should have so many issues on basic level and then secondly not be able to quickly resolve any of them. The stats of created accounts aren't an indicator of success.
