Theres a form to fill in?

Paperless to sign up. 5 minutes to sign up. Yet copies and forms need to be filled in to cancel. Lets see what answers the tyme rep has for me tomorrow.
I also have the same queries
Let us know what's the reason.
But I'd rather go out of my way to get the documents certified and the account canceled.

I've recommended Tyme to others and helped them to sort out some issues with their accounts, but this was before the public launch when it only took 2 mins to speak to a human, and they actually replied to emails. The Tyme card and account is what suits them at the moment due to their current circumstances (probably only till bank zero launches)

I thought so so I requested a debit order date change to 19th of every month 2 times already but seems they are failing with that too.

The ONLY reason I'm keen on keeping the contract because it's R525 p/m for the uncapped LTE.
That's not how it works. All debit orders are processed on one or two days of the month. So if it's processed on the 20th it gets sent to the bank even if your date is the 5th. So you need to pay before the 20th then to stop it.

Correct I always pay before the 20th, and my debit order never runs. December I seems to have paid late, as it did run and then credited for next month.

Makes zero sense what you are saying. So moving the date around won't help but that is the only solution Telkom offered. Moved my date to anything between 15 to 19 and I make sure I pay on or before the 27th of each month to avoid the debit order running.

Ask Telkom to tell you when their debit orders run. Set your date for the 1st and pay before the last run.

I'm thinking of just paying double this month. Will keep my account always in credit and no debit order problem.

@TymeBank

Once again I cannot add to a GoalSave.

I'm using the App. I get the success screen, the funds are deducted from the everyday account but don't appear in the GoalSave. After a few minutes, the funds return to the everyday account with description "SMARTAPP Credit Unpaid".
I am below the balance threshold.

This is an old issue, clearly hasn't been fixed properly yet.

So I just received a SMS and e-mail from Tymebank regarding my 3 week process to try to close this account. The SMS reads that my close account request has been processed and gives a reference number.

The e-mail reads as follows:

Your request for a Close Account due to Dissatisfied with Bank Service has been received. Before making the change on our system we will need some documents from you.

Kindly respond to this email by completing the attached form and return it together with ID document and proof of banking letter from the bank you want us to transfer your remaining balance.
Please remember, you have until 02/04/2019 to respond before we close your request.

1. I made sure that my balance is zero. So no need to transfer anything.
2. When I called them to close the account, I did a security check and gave them all the info telephonically to close the account.I do not see why I need to fill in forms now and provide a copy of my ID. A copy of my ID was not required when opening the account. So why is it now required to close the account??
3. So if I do not fill in the form and provide my ID, the account stays open?
4. I did not share my reason with the call centre person why I wanted the account closed, so now on top of being slow and incompetent, we have a bank that makes up stuff?

Tyme bank cards do not work at Post office. Post office only allows for swipes even if their speed points allow you to insert the card they only allow swipes for some odd reason. So swipes automatically declines.

How long after the account is closed can another one be opened?

Your call center and social media dept couldn't answer me.
The asked me to ask the person who calls me to close my account, but no one called me, I was rather emailed a form to fill in to close the account.

Some nice questions were asked above about closing an account (and some comments regarding tyme selectively replying to questions)
Could they also be answered
