I was using a FNB premier cheque and since the monthly fee is so high and they can't migrate it to a fnb easy account I closed it.

I have an Old Mutual money account I use just for psn purchases on the Indonesia psn store. It's a bidvest bank account and Telkom also not listing bidvest or Old Mutual....
I went from premier to easy with an account a couple of years ago, why can't they do yours?

Anyway since you've already closed the account it's somewhat moot.

Does anybody know how I can add my Discovery CC as a beneficiary? Which bank do I use? And entering the account number does not allow for the full number, it needs 1 more digit.
Am I missing something?

I was on easy and they moved me to premier. When I closed the Premier I asked them to convert it back to easy but they said that was not possible but they can close the premier and then open a new easy account and issue me a new card. So I just left it and said no close everything down. I did not have a reason to fight it because I was happy with what I have at Tyme bank.

As far as I know Discovery CC is still with FNB unless they changed you to their new own bank which I'm not sure when that is taking place.

No I'm still on the old card. I cannot find FNB under the listed banks and even if I could, there is not enough space to enter the account number. Guess it's just something else which cannot be done.

My guess is that FNB would be the same as First Rand Bank on the Tyme system.

The other banks that have fnb listed as an option, don't have first rand bank as an option to do an EFT to, I've checked this with 3 other banks.

Wikipedia : First National Bank – FNB is the retail and commercial bank division of FirstRand Bank

I'm glad you could get it to work. but there is no FNB, and even if I was to use First Rand Bank, the account number field does not allow the whole account number to be entered.

I also cannot find FNB.
LOL, you sound like Steve Jobs. I'm probably holding it wrong.

could you confirm if it is available as an option on your Tyme account.

FNB or First National bank is NOT listed.

Tyme Bank list it as First Rand Bank and if you have the correct FNB account number it works. I know because I EFT Cybersmart each month and they use FNB. So it does work correctly they just list it as First Rand Bank.

This is NOT a normal FNB account. It is a Discovery Credit Card. I don't think it is possible to add it as a beneficiary.

Well you obviously don't know how EFT's to a Credit Card work then. You EFT to Discovery credit card account number and you use your CC number as a reference. Get the correct banking details from Discovery.

Other banks list it as a "bank approved" beneficiary so you don't have to manually add the bank account. Tyme does not so just ask Discovery for the bank details. Add it accordingly and use your card number as reference.

I know because I do it with Woolworth too. :)

Yea I know how it works, since I have my Discovery CC as a beneficiary on my Std Bank account. I was just hoping to add it to Tyme without jumping through hoops.
