Both my kids changed schools during the school years, one from a government to private and the other from private to another private, I was never asked for their vaccination cards.... Although I do still have them
We were asked to show them most recently when the kids changed schools a couple of years ago (private to private). It's a requirement for public and most private schools so they can insist on it.

After completing the official application form, they sent me 6 more forms and then I still need to furnish them with the following:

- Learner admission contract
- Learner code of conduct
- Consent for credit check
- Debit order form
- General indemnity form
- Learners birth certificate
- Learner vaccination record
- Proof of residence
- Account holder ID
- Latest report card
- Financial statement from previous school

**** that, public school it is!
My public school requested pretty much the same docs

You're acting like they asked you for a psych evaluation.

Seems pretty tame by pvt standards. Some places require you to buy school bonds basically when the kid is born. AKA a deposit you get back when inflation has ate it 20 years later

All seems pretty standard, and I mean most of those are simply copies of things. Looks like maybe 10, 15 minutes work?

Must be Curro Meridian then.
Not a "real" Curro :p :X3:

What's the diferrence?

Not everyone is good with admin. I have all those docs scanned in on my computer ready for whenever I need it, had to do most of that for their current school when I applied. Left it all in one folder because I'll probably need it again for high school in a few years.

Get back?
So our "deposit" is split into two - half is a levy that you'll never see again, the other half a deposit you might see when you leave the school provided you give like 3 years notice, your kid has a perfect attendance record and probably another levy

Maybe not, but to condemn your kid to public school because you're too lazy to put in a bit of effort is a bit much.

True, but you get some good public schools. I have been doing a bit of research into the local public schools as I want to move both my kids in the next year or two, there are some good schools that cost less than half of what I pay now.

You do, and perhaps condemn was too strong, but he'd already decided to send the kid to private school until it became too difficult, so that's not the issue.
