yeah ... feel the same way ... was gonna pick it up today, but figured rushing there in peak traffic was not a good idea, so figured Saturday would have been the best day to do that ... then he said he aint in ...

Is that car not a bit small for you? Normally associate Porsches with you. :erm::D

Now you can also associate cute little cars to me :)

found it to be different, ... And it has got good reviews. Its a car that is light on fuel, has creature comforts that are usually found in german luxury sedans. Gives a good solid drive. It has won european car of the year in 2008. Ncap rating of 5 (i think). It is a surprisingly well built little car. And i needed something new

Why in the world are you buying a FIAT?

i know they usually not the most reliable cars out there, but this particular little one, seems ok ... the only issue the early ones had, was the paint peeling off the center cap on the wheels ... other than that i found nothing

Enjoy it!

As you know, I was in the motor industry for a while, and we were expected to deliver new cars at whatever time suited the buyer...and in today's market it should be even more the case!!

One year, I had to come back to Joburg on New Year's Day, to deliver a Golf to a guy who had bought it from me over the internet, and wanted to drive his new car to Zimbabwe. I had to do all the paperwork before the holiday, then come screaming back from Durbs on the 31st...open up the showroom on the 1st, PLUS collect the guy from the airport.

Salesmen these days need a rather large boot up the butt, methinks!! Time to speak to Uncle Arnold about that one!!

The GT3 isn't? I'd love to have cash like that... Maybe in a few years :)

Out of interest, what did the Fiat cost? Looking for a car for the girlfriend, and can't afford a GT3 :D

Thanks!! :D :p

I still cannot get over the fact that this lazy bloody salesman is going to get away with this............if I lived in Joburg, I would be banging on Arnold Chatz's door and asking for this guy's job.......he doesn't deserve it!!

And here I sit in the boondocks...retrenched!!:mad::mad:

yes i do feel the same ... could have driven out with the car today, but the salesman due to his laziness did not give me the vehicles details, so could not get it insured with the broker ... they were off today

i saw it had the Italian sticker work on the sides, asked them to remove it ... not too keen on that

thing is with the GT3 i initially intended to finance a portion and the rest cash ... but my friend i was buying the car from really needed the cash urgently, so i figured id buy it cash and then finance myself the portion i wanted to initially ... But .... it did not happen that way, bought the car cash, and when i tried to finance a portion of the car, was told, "raising funds" is illegal (people rebond homes ... so i figured this could be done with cars) ...

the Fiat cost me R203500, list is R222k with extras ... its not entirely cheap ... but it is a pretty full house car, coming with a panoramic roof, leather interior, dual climate control, steering controls, usb plus bluetooth, discs all round ... very well kitted out little car
