Anyone else recently get ADSL with 021 424/422 numbers?

I moved into an office in Shortmarket Street in Cape Town CBD on the 1st of Feb. Telkom now tells me there's no ADSL availability indefinitely in Cape Town CBD.

ME: WTF? No Internet in the CBD!
TELKOM: Yes. There's often no ADSL in the CBD. High demand.
ME: But, it's the same number of people in the same number of buildings.
TELKOM: *not my problem silence*

Has anyone else recently got a 424 or 422 ADSL line? And what time did you wait?

I've got a feeling that I'm not being told the whole truth.

I recently set up a new ADSL line between Strand and Riebeek streets.

You speak to 3x Telkom consultants and you get 3x different answers. Agree with Gdiza - phone again.

It's complete bull****. Go down to Telkom DirectStore, it's not very far from where you are at I think and talk to someone their in person.

There is this one lady who sits at the far end when you enter on the left side, she wears glasses...forgot her name but she is VERY helpful. She actually knows what is going on.

Anyone go in there and I am sure you will hear a different story.

Agreed, I always go to the store. You wait a bit but they are friendly and know what they are doing. I only call when I log a fault.

WebAfrica has been off the charts with customer service. Mariska from WA gave them a call and I now have a date for next Wednesday.

Thanks for the advice. Stopped me from taking the short way down from my 5th floor office.
