I applied for a new domain on za.net - been 2 weeks and haven't heard a word.

I've submitted a few times - nothing.

Anyone have any luck with registering a domain recently?

I tried 6 months ago, and again twice 4 months ago, never heard anything again.

Yeah, had one done recently. Greg, only thing I can say is keep an eye on the queue and wait.

It takes a long time sometimes since it's maintained by volunteers when they have a chance. The last domain took 3 months to come through :) If you want instant, co.za is your thing :)

it normally takes 3 - 4 weeks, you're very lucky if it's anything quicker than 3 weeks. Be patients :)

I did mine about a month or so ago (http://ntsi.za.net), too 2 weeks to the day, but also their were less than 50 in the Q at the time, but i have personally waited over a month for it to register with domains from a while back, if u submit multiple times it will most likely either remove all requests or move the 1st request to the end of the Q.

The delay on za.net domains just isn't worth the few bucks/year savings over a co.za domain for me. Won't ever get a za.net domain again.

I used it for a site that was sponsored, their was no rush sot he delay was a non issue, but all the other za. domains i registered were just for getting the other tlds for domains i already owned so if it took a year it meant nothing as i already had the .co.za or .com tld and the site was already working.

I've found that every few weeks they'll do like 150 domains at once. But yeah, get a co.za, a lot better.
