What would you want to know?
Well I am considering getting one, but not sure if it is worth it. I still have the iPad 1 and it is long in the tooth. Slow, many sites like myBB crashes Safari. So a new iPad Air 2 64GB is around R15K. The Pro is R20K. not much more for close to double the screen size. I mainly use it to read. Most e-books dont display very well on my old iPad. Text too small and having to zoom around is a pain. The retina iPads would look better, but my eye are pretty ****ty so I was thinking Pro.
Although the new Huawei Mate P also looks nice and it runs Windows.
Then get the Air2 and a Kindle Paperwhite. Or just the Kindle.I mainly use it to read.

That's a good price. I got the R15K from DigiCape website. My problem is my eye are pretty ****. Even tho I wear reading glasses, I struggle with small text.I got me a new Ipad Air 2 128GB wifi+4G for R11500 I think. Not more than 12K. At MTN menlyn in november. So it is much cheaper than the pro, not a huge thing to carry around, and I have used 50GBs of that storage. I read a lot on the Ipad and the retina screen is awesome! I see no reason to go Pro...
The stuff I read is mostly technical PDFs. Dont think the kindle is up for that in terms of resolution? Then get the Air2 and a Kindle Paperwhite. Or just the Kindle.
Yes I will have to check that. I normally sit / lie on the couch to read and rest the iPad on my lap.700+ grams isn't great for reading.

iPad Air 3 gets announced next month. I'm waiting for the Air 3, the Pro is basically a laptop, the mini isn't much bigger than the 6/6s Plus, Air is perfect.
Yes I realise, but then you have to end up panning all over the place. Mini will not work for me for the same reason. You realise these devices are all digital...so you can increase the text size as required.
Personally for reading I want to go from a full size iPad down to a Mini because it's a bitch to hold the thing.
Hmm might need to hold out for Air3 and see... but it would unlikely have diff size or rez.iPad Air 3 gets announced next month. I'm waiting for the Air 3, the Pro is basically a laptop, the mini isn't much bigger than the 6/6s Plus, Air is perfect.
Yes it's time for me to upgrade. Wanting to buy in my business to at least kick up expenses before the tax bill arrives end FebThe iPad 1/2 resolution was terrible. The modern displays are excellent, you can't see the pixels.
I found the iPad 2/3 too heavy for me. After a while my hands took strain. I typically used it in bed with the base resting on my chest while holding it vertical with a hand. They were both in the same weight range as the Pro.
Correct, I wouldnt consider the Pro a laptop replacement. I dont use a laptop anyway. I use iPad mainly for consuming content but at R20K it's a hefty price. But it's easier on my eyes...It's the size of a laptop but still most certainly a tablet device.
