Hello everyone, I'm looking to softmod my PS2 and there are a variety of ways to go about it but all of them require the use of an existing modded ps2, either softmodded or chipped.
The idea is to use a modded/chipped ps2 to run the CD to install FreeMCBoot onto a memory card, which would effectively softmod any ps2 using that memory card.
I know this console is almost 20 years old at this point but I'm hoping there are some veterans on here willing to help me out, I have a spare memory card and the installation cd, I just don't have access to a modded ps2 to do the installation with.
I know there used to be threads with people modding cards back in the 2000's but the ps2 modding community is pretty dead nowadays.
