They mention powerful 1GHZ CPU, which isn't really that powerful anymore, they also don't mention the amount of RAM onboard as this make a big difference.

not at all- I really just want to use it as a word processor- anything else is a bonus.
Any tab is shiit as a word processor.

That should resolve your appendix question.

why is that?
Touch screen.
Crappy Word & Spreadsheet apps
Touch screen
Touch screen sucks
And finally touch screen sucks balls
Even with a bluetooth keyboard it sucks balls

I know what i'm talking about, I have a MSI windpad. Its a cheap tab but better than that Sansui but its still crap

Wait till the Nexus 7 Tab becomes available locally at its correct price and get that, that really is the long and short of it.

Typing onscreen is a horrible experience. But yea you'll waste your money on this thing. Rather get a desktop PC if you want to do word processing.

I already have a good desktop and laptop, but want something portable that I can use when I'm away from my desktop. Notebooks are way too clunky.

maybe you're right- spend a bit more and get a decent one. I don't mind typing on a touch screen- been playing with a friends one- just dont know what it will be like for extended periods though- so still a little hesitant.

Then if you must, get a decent tablet with a keyboard add-on. I can manage a maximum of about 46-50wpm on the iPad2 screen. Cheaper tablets will get far less. You'll end up throwing it out of a window in frustration.

Colpad

I bought the Colpad from Tabletworld including 4Gig memory card and usb keyboard. It also takes plugin hdd and at the price, I am very happy with it.

Does anybody know how this Sansui tablet compares to the Leappad 2. I wanted to get the Leappad 2 for my daughter for Christmas and was told that I should stay away from the Leappad and rather get her this Sansui tab?

Same here

I wanted to get the Leappad 2 for my daughter for Christmas and was told that I should stay away from the Leappad and rather get her this Sansui tab?

I also wanted top get a LeapPad 2 for my son but I wasn't comfortable with the fact that the games and apps had to be purchased from LeapFrog.
Would be great if I can get an affordable Android tablet and buy a rugged rubber case for it. That way I have access to a lot more material.

I dont know about the Sansui tab, i havent found any reviews on it. So far the only ones i found good reviews on the sub 1K tablets was the geeko that esquire has and the prestigio that Musica had.

Though i would agree stay away from the leappad, I was also going to get one for my daughter, but she started playing with my android tab and she said the android was better - much more versatile then the leappad and games (educational and normal) are much cheaper (or free) on google play.
