Nah man. It's not a ****hole, but it does seem to be the deadest place in SA. I've only been there a few times in my life, but I would bite my wrists open before I go live there.

i have to say, my last visit to pe was a surreal experience.

i had never driven between durban & cape town.
i drove to dbn via karoo / ofs, then returned to ct via east london pe.

i stayed over in pe.
asked the manager of the hotel if there was a poof bar / club in town.
yes, indeed there was, and he gave me directions.

i arrived 11 / 12 ish or so, drove past the entrance & continued to look for a parking.
i was suddenly surrounded by a group of drag queens (flash mob type of thing) as i parked.
i assumed the ca number plate was deemed somewhat exotic.

drinks were dirt cheap (felt like a londoner visiting africa), the tricks were even cheaper !
i proceeded to get terribly trashed & proceeded to ply all those around me with tequila, to the point where even the barman could not see straight.

too trashed to drive, i got a taxi back to the hotel.
woke up in the morning, was not terribly sure what city i was in (i knew it was pe or el - but not entirely sure which) & had no idea where the car was
