I have a 16GB phone and its always giving low space warnings so I have to keep the app caches clear but clearing the Tapatalk cache makes it lose the Forum/list and log-ins, have to start from scratch if I do that, well the list gets repopulated after logging into the Tapatalk app again after the cache is cleared but most log-ins don't and every forum needs to be customized again, real schlep :crylaugh:

I'm on a Samsung S4 currently, with Lollipop.

Switch phone off
Switch on and hold power and volume up
Let go of the volume up the moment u see the sammy logo
This will boot you into recovery mode
Wipe cache partition

That seems to free memory

Else go to memory and clear the residual memory

also in the phone settings under app management you can choose to delete the cache. I do it every now and then because I have a few gb of cached images. funny pics thread and cats thread fills my cache.

Thanks, that's what I was looking, may have been removed in the version I have, going to check now.

Clearing the cache there does what I mentioned in the op, I want to avoid that, doesn't that also happen to you?

Just noticed you are on iOS, is clear cache available on Android?

I'm on the latest version of the app and can't find that feature anywhere.

yeah. mine doesn't do that. strange. maybe a update broke it.

mine just clears the images so has to re download them.

Read the op.

And it goes without saying that if you are using the Tapatalk app that you have a Tapatalk user account, whats the point otherwise?

Then when you reinstall and login it will bring up all your forums and auto log you in.

You obviously haven't read the op yet.. Fsks stop trolling.

And Tapatalk can't save all forum's passwords for some reason, it'll remember your username but you need to put the password in again. Seems if you use the same email address as your Tapatalk ID there's better chance of the full forum credentials being saved.

Then obviously some of your settings are stored in the cache. So you're going to back it up and restore it back to the cache which puts you back to square 1.

Where da faq do you suck the bs from that you post.

As the saying goes.. Remember not to go full retard but seeing how often you post random pointless schit on threads, I'm assuming perhaps full is your default, or you are a troll.

Because myself and every other member that uses Tapatalk with an account has their details restored.
The email address used for my forums don't match my Tapatalk account so that isn't an issue.
