anyway to see all fibre/LTE providers in a certain area?

Hi guys,

thought to ask, is there such a thing as a aggregated map of fibre as well as LTE in a certain area?

I mean if I plug my address in, will give me EVERYTHING from all the fibre/LTE providers?

I mean surely such a thing is possible?

If you know what provider is in your area, i.e. Vumatel, Octotel etc you could also check their website. They usual feature the packages from various isp's there.

I mean what if I am on afrihost,

another question, anyway to see when fibre is supposed to be ready in an area, as we begin to have people digging up the street,
but no idea when it should be setup.

HI no it shows all(most) the fibre packages for all(most) the networks.
The webAfrica part is the map part which shows all the fibre-networks. WebAfrica and Afrihost in my opinion has the best fibre maps.
Once you know which network (Vumatel,OpenServe,Octotel etc) is in your area you can filter the Fibre Packages by Network.

Unlikely to be any time soon. The rollout in other areas has been so slow so expansion will probably take a while.

The rollout for Octotel is very expensive (been digging trenches in Kenilworth for months now), though Openserve should be slightly cheaper since they use existing rights-of-way. The priority areas are where the big-money is, and they will only get to other suburbs when they are confident of a decent percentage takeup, and an overall net return on investment. All done by private companies, not charities or the government...
