agreed.

~90% of Mac users who comment on the "Mac vs PC" debate have moved from a PC to a Mac.
90% of PC users who comment on the "Mac vs PC" debate have never actually used a Mac.~

'Nuff said.

you don't need to use a mac on a daily basis to know that macs are over priced / virtually non-upgradable / a nuisance to repair / rippoff

Point? what point?

I have not owned a Citi Golf before but I know the guy who pays R300,000 for a Golf 1 is being ripped off.

The case in point is not if PC is better than Mac or not. Neither is it about whether apple users are happy or not. Of course they are happy since they forked out a lot for it and if that makes them happy then its good for them.

All this is about is having a little fun at their expense - and is really dirt cheap :p
Besides, who needs experience on a mac if you have experienced the freedom and power of something much bigger and with limitless horizons.

It would be nice if this thread stayed on topic instead of becoming another Mac vs. PC one.

This topic should have been discussed two years ago when it was relevant.

And windows?

Wow! Slow down speed racer.

You cannot just hope straight from a sandbox to a real world does-anything-for-anyone OS. Aqua is working through the gap between toys and real tools - something linux is good for since it runs on a real computer, but is still a sandbox OS. Think of it as going from your tricycle to a bicycle with side wheels.

If you jump to soon you might not be able to cope with all the freedom and power and end up diving of a cliff into the great blue [-]see[/-] screen of death or you could go about clicking and fondling all sorts of binaries out there like a teenager in puberty and end up with a virus.

As they say - with great power comes great responsibility.

Just curious if you're a regular user.

I run XP in a VM on Linux purely for the commercial apps that are not available on Linux, and I have 7 installed as my XBox Gaming machine... other than that it's useless.

What's the big hoo-haa about?

Some forums will close/lock/delete older threads to prevent one-post-wonders from resurrecting these.

People simply are too lazy to use the search function.
