It's not anything new of significance to anyone but toy collectors. This is just a response to the hype about it. I mean order it if you must but to go hysterical with anticipation over a toy seems bizarre to me.
No, it is something new, it is of significance. It is lighter than any netbook, has a 10 hour battery life, and the screen is better than any laptop for only $500. The interface is way different, it is used is totally different way to a netbook. Eg you can use the iPad while standing in a queue, you can't use a netbook while standing. There are no products which are similar. Thus it is revolutionary.

Lastly, you can get work done on it, with iWork. So it's not just a toy. For example I plan to use it to give Keynote presentations as a teacher/tutor. It's perfect for that!

It's not ground breaking. It's not cure for cancer. It's not a new way of getting objects into orbit. It's not anything new of significance to anyone but toy collectors. This is just a response to the hype about it. I mean order it if you must but to go hysterical with anticipation over a toy seems bizarre to me.

Wow, now it all makes sense. Wanna tell us what year Santa failed to deliver that Barbie doll you wanted so badly and sucked the joy out of your life?
