Lets just put this crap into perspective here...

The Iphone 4 was released in 2010, with IOS4 as its OS, so Facetime was not a feature that was sold with the phone originally. Apple "upgraded" the features of the phone by adding Facetime in IOS6 in 2012. IOS7 was released in 2013 days after the iPhone 4 was actually discontinued.

So at worst, people had a feature for a year, that was a bonus feature over and above what they bought the phone for...

Also Apple didn't STOP the people getting Facetime, if they upgraded to IOS7, but the feature no longer worked in IOS6... So 4 years of upgrades on the phone is pretty damned impressive.

I honestly see very little wrong in what Apple did here.

Someone posted here and said you pay premium for Apple because of 6 years "support". LOL.
Apple change their mind, and break your expensive phone a year later, you are SOL..
So just because one feature stopped working on an iOS6 device, Apple have crap support?
What utter rubbish.

There is at least five years support for all Apple products.
The latest version of iOS (12) will run on an iPhone 5s - which is a 5 year old phone. Furthermore, Apple has increased the performance of those older devices with its latest iOS update.

apple broke batteries, apple broke apps, apple broke X and Y and Z.

get over it people,

you brought your phone, because"everything" just works. until @pple decided not to let it work. as its "their" phone

get used to it, or buy another phone with a more open architecture, and upgrade-able storage and removable and replaceable batteries.

you brought a phone with all the important things turned off, now live with it, you dont own it, Apple does, why complain?

Come again?

The iPhone 4 also introduced Apple's A4 system-on-chip, along with iOS 4—which notably introduced multitasking functionality and Apple's new FaceTime video chat service.

Ok... I stand corrected then... it included Facetime...

But Apple didn't remove the feature from the phone, they offered a new OS where it worked... if you chose to stay on an old OS then its your choice, they are not legally bound to provide backend services for eternity.

Not going to say much here, don't have any Apple devices but not an Apple hater either.
The judge did not accept Apple’s argument.
A class action against Apple can now be pursued.

Bottom line is that Apple wants you to keep upgrading by "breaking" things.
and? this is news to people?

Apple have been shown numerous times to be willing to do anything to make people buy new sh*t,
including reducing performance of older phones, not providing support to older models, ect ect

deal with it people, you brought a phone where everything is locked out, now live with it.

I do have an Iphone too (and MAC). I'm just saying paying prem (rip off from Apple) for support and they break/remove functionality.
