Since they accepted it it appears that they don’t find it too bizarre. But why the iPhone and not another company? Maybe the iPhone is indeed that special, but lets see if they get away with this in SA :)

Apple isnt known for its flexibility. If one of the operators doesnt capitulate (and one will even if it is just to wear the exclusivity badge) then SA wont get the phone.

I see the limited data plans as being a bigger stumbling block anyway.

Why the iPhone? The thing is the most hyped consumer good of all time and the rev 2 model is going to silence most of the existing critics.

well maybe some operators wont supply the Iphone then?
