The event is due to start in a few hours away (7p.m SA time).
Word is Apple will announce a new smaller sized iPhone and an iPad Pro.

What are your expectations? Excited or meh?

Smaller iPad pro?

Wouldn't mind a smaller sized iPhone being reintroduced.

The smaller iPhone is supposedly on the cards with a smaller iPad Pro. I'm hoping for a new Macbook Air (retina display) and some sort of streaming package for the Apple TV.

As in a Netflix competitor that works on Apple TVs? That would be neat.

They had a plan to get several networks e.g. NBC, CBS etc to provide one monthly subscription to access all of their content but it seems like there was some issues. Hopefully they sorted it out.

That would make more sense from the poster sure, but not more sense to the Apple market.

I think some of the features currently available on the iPad Pro would benefit people who want the smaller form factor. The pencil for one.

Yeah I'm with you there, but not sure it requires a whole new model labelled Pro that is smaller.

I would just expect that stuff to trickle down to the Air.

But I guess we'll see tonight.

Iirc you need an Apple device to watch or have they opened up?

Yip or Win 10.

Requirements: Live streaming uses Apple’s HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) technology. HLS requires an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with Safari on iOS 7.0 or later, a Mac with Safari 6.0.5 or later on OS X v10.8.5 or later, or a PC with Microsoft Edge on Windows 10. Streaming via Apple TV requires an Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation) with software 6.2 or later or an Apple TV (4th generation).

I'll watch via twit.tv.
