Why is it that Core are the only authorized distributor?
Glad to see Core got burnt by Apples surprise announcement.
This caught a lot of people and shops by surprise. The new connector is also not helping accessory sales. Was in Audiovision at the Waterfront today and the shop was filled with very expensive sound equipment using the old dock connector ... NAD, Yamaha, Denon, etc. Who's now going to pay R7000 for such a device with the old dock connector?

If you can afford a R7k dock you can afford a R250 adapter. Sure you'll find dealers chucking in an adapter or 2 gratis.
Hopefully consumers are aware of the change and don't get scammed by the sales staff - then again these are the same companies that sell R1000 "oxygen enriched" ethernet cables.I doubt the average South African even knows there's a new dock connector let alone an "iPad 3S". Those shops still have time to try and clear out that stock.
But is it the same fit when using the adapter. Normally the iUnit sits snugly in the dock. Will it be the same still?
Probably not as clean no.
Also bear in mind a lot of the newer amps and docks support air play though.

If I was ready to buy a NAD or Denon system with Apple dock connector I would for sure wait till new models come out with the new connector. It's a lot of money to pay.

A bit too proprietary for my liking.

DLNA / A2DP / UPnP for me.
