Apple iPhone 13 could drop the Lightning port

Apple's 2021 iPhone could drop the traditional Lightning port in favour of the more widely-used USB Type-C connector, according to a report by Japanese website Mac Otakara.

The report referenced a 3D-printed mockup of the iPhone 13, which is expected to launch next year.

Kinda obvious:

I would even hazard a guess that they might go wireless only.

Yup and not even bundle the wireless charger with the device.

So far the predictions for the port on the next iPhone include:

- Retains Lightning port
- Adopts a USB C port
- Drops the port completely

Are there any bases that the insightful people have not covered (except for a parallel printer port)?

Why not both, one for charging and the other for headphones.

Boom, mind blown.
