I am also interested in finding out when the iPhone will be available in SA. I have just been to MTN, and the person I dealt with had not even heard of the iPhone - let alone when MTN would have it!! I would like to put my name down on a waiting list if there is such a thing.

It's so lame how salespeople in SA usually have no clue about the stuff they selling. I mean they basically have no interest in whatever they are selling...

Get yourself a iPod and a R600 phone. It will do exactly the same. No, it will do more than a iPhone.:D:rolleyes:

....piesang you seriously dont dig that phone...lol
Or perhaps he realizes how over-rated and over-priced it is? ;) I still can't get over how a phone like that doesn't even have 3G-or the ability to send MMS's.

HI Guys dont know wether Vodacom will get the Iphone or not, i dont think Apple will allow Vodafone branding and due to the fact that you can buy mp3's on both itunes and Vlive there may be a conflict in interest, that;s Vodafones interest booo to VLive.

SA doesnt have an iTunes store . . . until it does I have my doubts as to if we'll be getting the iPhone locally.
That leaves MTN....
you think mtn will give apple a cut of each contract as well as 100% of the phone revenue?

MTN doesn't do anything for free. They will ask Apple to pay them.
