At the risk of sounding like Bill Gates who in 1981 is supposed to have said "640K is more than anyone will ever need on a computer", can someone explain why I need 5G? I already get 25mbps and often much faster on 4G/LTE - and I honestly don't think my devices will ever need much more than that unless we all start streaming VR at 8K resolution on our devices?? I mean, beyond a point, no amount of extra video definition is going to make any discernible difference on any device, and I can't think of anything else that would need such a big data pipe, but maybe I lack vision??

Cool video.

I'm very impressed by the level of attention to detail from a build perspective. Very neat inside - no extra glue or other stray bits.

Good to know that important components are paired securely so that if you buy a 2nd hand phone you can't be conned by someone who did a dodgy repair on the phone.
Lol yeah good guy Apple.

You need to watch Louis Rossman's repair videos on Mac's. You will soon change your mind.
But 3rd parties should not be trying to repair apple products? It interferes with their recycling process that helps the environment. If the product cannot be repaired by apple in an authorised manner it usually gets recycled and you get a credit on a new product? It also stops things catching fire with bad parts.

Well, you are right with one thing - all these 5G devices are nice but can upstream providers actually give you that kind of bandwidth. Its all fun and games getting insane speeds to your ISPs router. And then you share the link to any other international website which is a 100mbps line with 99999 users on it...

It takes but a Google search for "5G as an ecosystem" and some reading.
Oh yes I've seen all the guff about IoT and AR etc and supporting a million devices per square km but surely no single device is ever going to need 10gbps to send it's telemetry data or whatever.

3rd parties should have every right to repair Apple products or any other product for that matter.. How can it interfere with the recycling process? If anything 3rd parties are stopping devices from being send to the dumps.

As Apple do not sell certain parts to repair companies, often they will use components off donor boards to repair boards. It's Apple that have indoctrinated people into thinking that if its not repaired by Apple then the parts replaced are of inferior quality. More than often they do a better repair job than Apple.

Are 3rd parties not allowed to be authorised Apple repairers?

Yes, but most won't be allowed to do board level repairs or even repair simple things like replacing charger ports. (As Apple will not supply parts to them) The device need to be send into Apple for this type of work which leads to longer repair time and even then Apple will not repair the board, they will just swap it out.

"Apple build quality" lol. The last premium feeling iPhone I owned was my 4S, didn't take long for the power button and the mute switch on the side to break either. I used a friend's iPhone X the other night and was extremely underwhelmed.
