Yeah the future looks so bright with big tech wanting control over evey apsect of life because they cannot leave well enough alone and think they know better.
 
what happens if you don't upgrade? will the seat stay In the "I'm a Grandma" position, until you buy a New Iphone?
or the air con not work till you buy the 9.99 dollar upgrade?

actually all jokes aside, could be fun messing with people, getting the speedometer to show a maximum of 5KM/h on the autobahn.
also could be dangerous, what if somebody got a hold of the codes? I mean car hacking does exist,
disable brakes, steering, gear changes and lights, and cause accidents. I do wonder if they thought of that?

The last thing I need or want, is Apple's pooy made products in my car. I mean just imagine driving a 10 year old car, where the firmware has become so slow that it takes 2 hours just to turn on the aircon, or where you have to replace the entire car when the radio stops working. I hope car manufacturers give Apple the boot, and come to think of it, it may be time for us to give Google the boot as well and move to a OS less dependant on Google and their spying.

Obviously that would be a safety feature. If you didn't replace the windscreen with the 200x margin original model, you risk not being to see as far as with the original.
