Specs are in:

0.5 inches thin
1.5 pounds
9.7" IPS Display
Full capacitive Multitouch
16GB - 64GB of Flash Storage
1GhZ Apple A4 Chip
Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR
Wifi 802.11 N
Speaker, Microphone, Acelleromet & Compass
Battery life of 10hours? / Standby of a month?

The battery life seems unclear. Don't know if the 10hours is while using WiFi etc. or watching movies.

If the screen is glass - everyone is gonna need apple care... loads of these are going to get sat on... dropped... eaten by the dog!
No 3G? quite a surprise, but what is the "one more thing"?

Any takers that iPhone 4 will run on a PA Semi chip as well so that iPhone and iPad can share the same OS?
Will resolution independence come to OS X.
Looks like all the hype about saving newspapers is overblown... if you don't sell thru the app store, you don't exist.

Saved it for last I see. Looks pretty much like the Sony reader app for PC's so far...

iBooks looks great :)

Books on LCD is not a great idea. Even an IPS display. You can read a little but going hours, reading like a textbook or paperback will not be comfortable for many.

Huh... no mention of McGraw Hill as an iBook partner... wonder if its payback time for the leak....
Looks like Delicious Library got ripped off big time for the iBook store shelf.

One good thing is that they are using ePub as format, and not some propriety format. The reading experience will have to be tested. I don't think it will be as comfortable as E-ink, but for the colour craving masses it might be an adequate compromise.

iWork... its got iWork! this makes it a primary computer in a totally new class all of its own... everyone is going to get this...

The devil is in the details tho... will the mail app exchange integration actually work properly... if it does its gonna be in the enterprise in a heartbeat.

Wonder if this version of iwork will support the MS office formats... where is the file browser... and what about video out?

Every salesman in the world is going to want one of these.

Is the iTunes store available to South Africans? Unless they make it available the iPad will mostly be useless as a large part of the functionality/features will be lost.
